32/365: Pole Dancer Wanted
On Thursday nights, Lu and I take a Canine Freestyle (aka Doggie Dancing) class. We practice all sorts of neat moves, like weaving, backing up and spinning.

This is Emmett. He’s an awesome doggie dancer in our freestyle class. Look how good he is at holding the pole!!! This is what I want to teach Lu….

Why you put this thing between me and the cookies?
I guess I’ll just go around it…
Wally says “Maybe if I stare at this thing long enough, she’ll give me a cookie!”
Finally, Lu says “Maybe she wants me to touch it?!” YESSSSS!
That’s as far as we’ve gotten. She understands that she’s supposed to put her paw on the pole. Now I have to work on getting her to hook her paw around it instead of just scratching at it feverishly!

Love it! Hilarious! I can’t imagine my three doggy pole dancing. Lucy would definitely wonder what the point was… Jeffie would be freaked out by all the excitement of the class… and Rudy… well, he’d probably wonder how to climb the pole!
