68/365: Trip to the Vet
Back in January, I had to take Wally to the vet because he was incredibly itchy and losing hair. The vet prescribed Revolution, which seemed to work for the itchiness, but the hair loss is still on-going. I’ve started giving the dogs salmon oil in hopes that it might help curb the shedding…
Anyway, a couple of days ago I noticed a sore starting to form on Wally’s hiney, so I made an appointment to bring him in to the vet. I’ll spare you pictures of the gory hiney-sore, but the news is, the vet seemed to think it looked like a scrape and doesn’t think it is related to the hair loss.
Lu hasn’t had any bad experiences at the vet, so she’s more than happy to jump up on the seat beside me. But Wally’s never had a good trip in his life. I think his face says it all:
YOU said we was just goin’ for a ride in the car…..

Itchy is hard enough for us. I hate to imagine what the dogs feel like.
poor Wally! We feel your pain! Kirby is blessed that he doesn’t have any skin problems except dryness but his cousin Jacks has had terrible problems his whole life with itching and hotspots. Its heartbreaking when they are miserable!
Poor Wally! It really is always something with him. I hope he doesn’t have any more “bad trips” to the vet!
It’s definitely no fun going to the doctor — I don’t like it either! So glad everything is OK. Hope you find out what the hair loss is about. :)

Wally buddy! I love your little face. Seriously, you are the most adorable thing, possibly ever.
Hi Y’all,
Had a trip to the “surgery” vet today. Lucky me, it all turned out okay…for now. I sympathize with ya Wally!
Just hopped by to catch up on your happenings and say hello! Have a great weekend!
Y’all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog
I hope you’re able to find something to help Wally. Hair loss is no joke, especially in winter.

Poor Wally! Eleanor loses a lot of hair in the winter months, then it comes back a bit in the summer. We also give her melatonin to help!
