74/365: Freestylin’

Lu and I had freestyle class last night and made a little video!

Hey, Woman, can we go in yet?

This week, we worked on teaching our dogs to be patient and wait to be given a command, rather than assuming that they are going to do the last thing they were asked to do.  For this exercise, we set up two different commands and called them at random so that the dogs could not anticipate what was next.  I chose to use “place/spin” and “around it”.  Here’s a short video:

    Fabulous. LuLu is so attentive. Will we see a video someday of all these moves put together in your routine?

      Well, that is the goal, but the problem is… I have two left feet. The minute the music goes on, I lose all sense of rhythm and timing. We really must start putting SOMETHING together though. We’ve done all this hard work and have no routine to show for it!
