Pet Project 365

Have you ever looked at your pets and thought “The time goes by so fast.. I want to remember them just like they are… forever.”?   I think we all have.  It makes me a little sad to think about how fast my time with Lu and Wally has gone by already. It’s also getting increasingly difficult to remember what has happened when. So I decided to start a “365 Project” for myself to document Lu and Wally’s lives throughout the next 365 days.

What is Pet Project 365?

Pet Project 365 is a way of capturing your pet’s life in photos by taking at least one photograph each day for an entire year.  (Technically, you’re only supposed to post one photo per day, but I’m going to be a rebel and post as many as I please. ;) )   You don’t need to caption the photos unless you want to.  You don’t need to write a story.  It’s simply a visual journal of a year in the life of your pet.

You can set up a free Pet Project online at 365project.org or you can use an existing blog to document your photos. You can also create a free blog at a site like tumblr.com, wordpress.com or blogger.com for your project.  You could even set up a pinboard on Pinterest.com for the project!

It’s really never too late to start your own Pet Project.  All you have to do is commit to taking a photo every day (or every week).  If you miss a one, that’s ok!   Nobody’s keeping score.  Just start fresh the next day.  :)

Why not start today?  You’ll never regret doing it, but someday you may regret NOT doing it.. I know that when I’m old and gray, I will be happy to be able to look back on all the days that we shared together and smile.

Since tomorrow my little family are moving into a new flat I think that would be a great time to start this.
    Thanks it’s a great idea!

I love love this idea! Kia from Come Wag Along turned me on to it but I didn’t fully understand it until I read your explanation. So great! And the pups are adorable!
